Central Okanagan Residential Real Estate Trends: July 2017
Central Okanagan sales of single family, attached-wall and apartment properties totaled 561 in July 2017, down -7.9% from the same month in 2016. By the same measure the average residential sale price was +7.0% higher (+11.0% year-to-date). In spite of a strong sales-to-new listing ratio in July (69%) overall inventory levels remained steady, and higher than they have been in over 14 months (up 14.3% from July 2016). Should these higher inventory levels can persist against a typical seasonal decline in sales activity housing price growth across the Okanagan should began to sustain in the coming months.
